The students had 8 days of Chinese lessons, plus exciting excursions: a safari park, exploring inside a volcano, and an afternoon at Movietown with its ancient architecture and recreations of Shanghai in the 1920s and Beijing in Mao’s time.

Hainan Mandarin Academy (HMA) creates Mandarin language and cultural immersion programs in Hainan, China. We design closed-group programs for schools and private groups, with a focus on education, structure, and meaningful cultural experience.

Our programs are mainly for:

We do not offer open-enrollment programs or individual study packages. HMA is designed for school trips and private group trips only. If you are looking for a premium experience, we can also organize a mini-group and provide the same careful, personalized service for you.

Our programs are suitable for students aged 6 and above. We adapt the structure, pace, and activities to the age and level of the group.

Hainan offers a calm, clean, and well-controlled environment for student travel. It is especially suitable for younger students and for schools that want a safer and more manageable setting for learning and cultural exchange.

Yes. Parents may accompany school trips. During class time, they can rest or go shopping, and they can take part in all field trips. Parents only pay for accommodation.

Yes. We help arrange accommodation and local transport as part of the program planning and delivery. The exact setup depends on the group and the program design.

It is an educational program. While students do experience Hainan and take part in excursions, the main purpose is learning through Mandarin practice, cultural immersion, and structured educational activities.

No previous Mandarin experience is required for many of our programs. We can also adapt content for groups with different levels, including beginners and more advanced students.

Yes. We work closely with your school/group to design the program, coordinate logistics, and support the group during the trip in Hainan.

We are not a standard tour operator. Our whole team lives and works on Hainan, we have a deep connection to the island and its culture, which helps us handle special requests and create a more personal experience.

A school or group can contact us with basic details such as the number of students, age range, travel dates, and learning goals. We then create a tailored proposal.
